Disinfecting swimming pool water with salt
Next to the most known disinfection chlorine, salt can also be used to disinfect the water. The salt that you add to the pool water must be pool salt that is specifically suited for this purpose. 
When you add the salt to the pool water it's converted to chlorine through salt electrolysis. So a saltwater pool can only work with a salt electrolysis device that then converts the salt to a natural chlorine (because salt contains chlorine).
Besides the salt use in the pool water, you can also disinfect the spa water with salt. 
Make sure there is an electrolysis device in the spa, only then can the salt do his job properly.

What is salt electrolysis?
Salt electrolysis is the disinfection of the pool water by means of electrolysyis. In this process, the chlorine contained in the salt is activated. The water passes through the electrolytic system and in this way the salt is converted into chlorine.
