Why use exfoliating salt?
Scrubbing salt removes the top dead and old skin cells and old skin cells and thus stimulates the circulation in the skin. The result is a healthy, supple skin.
The skin will take on a fresher tone due to the rubbing motion that stimulates the blood flow to the skin.
Be careful when exfoliating just before sunbathing. By exfoliating, you remove the top layer of skin. This will make you tan or burn faster (the sunburn will be much quicker).
How to exfoliate?
To exfoliate, you need water and exfoliating salt or sugar.
Wet your skin thoroughly and apply some scrubbing salt or scrubbing sugar to the skin.
Rub the scrub in circular movements over the skin. Rub gently (don't overdo it!) and use plenty of scrub. Make sure you rub evenly and not too much in the same place, as this will cause irritation.
Use some water afterwards, to make the scrubbing less harsh and to remove it evenly. Rinse the scrub thoroughly with water and you're done!
Your skin will now feel radiant and soft again.
Difference between scrubbing salt and scrubbing sugar
Exfoliating salt and exfoliating sugar serve the same purpose: to remove dead skin cells. With scrubbing sugar, the grain is coarser. The sugar melts away and is more suitable for sensitive and dry skin.
With scrubbing salt, the grain is finer, but watch out for wounds on the skin! If your skin really needs exfoliating, use exfoliating salt.
